Rich is a certified scuba diver and has dived in Brazil and multiple locations around the US.

Biography:

Richard was born and raised in Atlanta and is the oldest of 3 boys. Richard has two cats and three dogs that he’s crazy about. He’s adventurous and enjoys doing outdoor activities such as fishing and snowboarding. He also loves traveling whenever he has the opportunity. Richard enjoys working with animals because they don’t judge; they accept people for who they are and they’re easy to please!

Biography:

Lilah was born and raised in Iowa and moved to Atlanta to major in Film & Media at Georgia State University. She grew up with pets at home and her family currently has 1 dog and 2 cats in Iowa. She started working with dogs at doggy daycares and she loves animals of all shapes and sizes!

Interesting Fact:

One of her dogs, Mango, was born in Uganda. He was born at the health clinic Courtney worked at while she lived in Uganda and she decided to bring him back when she returned to the US.

Biography:

An animal lover since birth, Courtney has always been surrounded by dogs, cats, fish, lizards, birds, horses, you name it!  Courtney loves to care for pet babies of all shapes, sizes, colors and temperaments. She holds a BA and MA, both in International Studies, and is a passionate community development worker by day.

Interesting Fact:

Helped teach a wolf pup to walk on a leash.

Biography:

Laura grew up volunteering at a cat shelter, rehabilitating squirrels, and eventually began her career with animals as a kennel tech in high school. She worked at a zoo and farm after college. This gained exotic animal experience with armadillos, sugar gliders, wolf pups, zebu cows, chinchillas, hedgehogs, kune kune pigs, and more including reptiles, such as a well-handled alligator. She is currently laboratory animal care technician at the CDC. Laura rescued her cat when he was a year old and feral, and with a lot of patience and love domesticated him into a loving companion.

She enjoys hiking with her dogs and occasionally drawing or painting.

Ari has been an avid animal lover since childhood. She grew up around dogs of all sizes, cats, horses, and birds. She has nearly 8 years of experience working in dog daycare and is happiest when she is around animals!

Biography:

Anya was born and raised in Decatur, GA. She moved to Los Angeles for college to study languages and literature. After graduation, Anya decided their next language of study would be the language of dogs. She worked for four years as a dog walker, boarder, and sitter. During that time, Anya also began teaching Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Obedience classes. After 8 years in Los Angeles, they decided it was time to move back home to be closer to friends and family, and Anya now continues to do what she loves most…spending time with animals and speaking their secret language!

Biography:

Taesia is currently pursuing a veterinarian career. She started volunteering at an animal shelter in Virginia when she was 15. Then, when she moved to Georgia, she started shadowing a veterinarian and got a job at a dog daycare and animal clinic. She loves working with animals because every day is an adventure; no 2 days are the same.

Dana was born in Jacksonville, FL and moved to Georgia for college. She has always loved animals and even raised baby rabbits as a school project. She enjoys hiking, gaming, reading comics and movie watching. She has 5 years of experience working with animals in various settings such as, doggy daycare, groomers, and pet sitting.

Susan has been a dog owner for over 30 years, until her hound mix Charlie crossed the Rainbow Bridge in June 2023. Although she is currently dogless, she is happily spending her time caring and loving pet babies as a member of the Village Pets family.

Interesting Fact:

Susan has been involved with horses since childhood. She currently is a core team member for Stride Ahead Equine Assisted Therapies and also spends much of her free time volunteering at equine rescues in the southeast. 

Biography:

Susan has been an animal lover as far back as she can remember. She grew up with dogs, but also spent time riding horses and loving every minute of it! Every animal that she has owned has been a rescue, with her last two dogs, Midway and Charlie, adopted after being abandoned and showing up in her front yard. When she lived in New Mexico, Susan adopted a Treeing Walker Coonhound, Kudzu, from the New Mexico Humane Society. They trained and became certified as a canine therapy team, visiting patients in families in hospitals, hospice, and rehabilitation facilities. She is current a university research administrator and is looking forward to retirement in early 2025.
